The Bice Bicycles Sliver is a custom-made steel road bike frame, a racing machine that celebrates speed. Thanks to the inherent characteristics of modern oversized steel tubing, the Silver is a lightweight, rigid frame which is nevertheless springy providing great power transfer without forgoing comfort. This will ensure you can power up those climbs with ease and feel quick on accelerations. The compliance of steel will provide a smooth ride, so it won’t feel like you’re hanging on to a jackhammer on bumpy descents, a soothing level of comfort that a carbon bike just can’t provide.

An important feature of the Sliver is the tire clearance, able to mount up to 32mm tires which allows you to “float” a little more making rides even more smooth and comfortable, as well as making for an overall faster ride. According to Schwalbe: “In practice, the energy saving is even greater than in theory as the elasticity of the tires absorbs road shocks, which would otherwise be transferred to the rider and so saves energy.” You can find more info here.

Like a tailor-made suit, the Silver frame is custom made based on your biomechanics, riding preferences, needs, and type of groupset and wheels you’d like to mount. Frames can be electronic-ready, have internal cable routing, and included with the price of each frame is an Enve fork and Chris King headset. The Sliver can be built for caliper or disc brakes.
