DORIAN

ENDURANCE ROAD RACING

Classic, thin, and elegant tubing which pairs perfectly with modern components, the Dorian is a custom-made endurance road bike designed to be comfortable over long distances. The cross-stiffness of the rear triangle gives you a great power transfer, while the possibility of mounting up to 28mm tires provides you with a smoother ride. Lighter than your average steel frame, the Dorian is reactive on climbs and thanks to the marvellous makeup of modern steel tubing (with a classic look nevertheless) it provides the right amount of springiness for a smooth ride no matter how bumpy the road.

The Dorian has a Columbus Max chainstays that have been modified with 2 bends. Let’s not get into all that marketing shamarketing you’ve read about chainstay bends. There are two reasons why I’ve custom bent these stays: tire clearance and pedal clearance. The bends allow you to make the most of the space that the tire, stays and crankset have to share. You can mount 28mm in the front and 30mm at the back. We’re all getting into nice thick tires and they’re going to have to fit into this frame somehow, right? This way, your nice wide tires can help increase the smoothness of the ride adding to your overall comfort, something which you really start to appreciate after a day in the saddle.

Each frame is made based on your biomechanics, riding style, and intended use and consequently is entirely adaptable. Included in the price of each Dorian frame is a Chris King NoThreadSet and a Falz Fork, which is developed and distributed by the one and only, Dario Pegoretti. Having a classic look, the Dorian has a brazed-on seatpost clamp, a front derailleur clamp, caliper brakes and quick-release dropouts.

In terms of paint, the price of a standard paint job is included in the price of the frame. You have the option of choosing the colors that will be applied with the Dorian paint-scheme. Additional charges may apply to certain types of paint for example, colorshift, flake, candy. If you wanted to get fancy, I can also provide you with both a quote and mock-up for a custom paint job. Just like getting extra toppings on a pizza, custom paint schemes will cost more depending on the number of “toppings”.
